Another fake: Millian Denies any Involvement in Fabrications on Trump

The Wall Street Journal named one of the sources of information on Donald Trump. Allegedly it was the director of the Russian-American Chamber of Commerce in the United States Sergei Millian. Supposedly it was he who passed the information to the former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele through a third-party. However, for some reason, Millian calls the dossier, and I quote, "a fruit of a sick imagination". Ruslan Sleptsov tried to find out who gave what to whom. We searched hard for representatives of the Russian-American Chamber of Commerce in our country but did not find them. Perhaps, the organization is only based in the States. Perhaps, Sergei Millian is its only representative. Even The Wall Street Journal acknowledges that there is no evidence. No evidence that it was Millian, or that the file existed at all. The so-called Steele’s compromising material has been exposed many times as an obvious fake. The dossier consists of claims that can't be verified, or simply of false and erroneous information. But the topic is a hot-button one. Therefore, the media have chosen to add credibility to their story with the help of Sergei Millian: "First of all, I want to say that I have no damaging information on Mr. President neither in the US, nor in Russia I personally do not have it. There is a group of individuals, it's not very big, which is working out a strategy of discrediting our President, and, of course, me. But the main goal is not I, but Mr. Trump". He really is an interesting figure, and he actually has worked with businessmen and officials, both in the States and in Russia. However, he's unlikely to have had access to any compromising facts. Let’s ask the people who awarded him the prestigious Silver Archer. Even having the information — it's known that he's worked with Donald Trump and has been well-acquainted with his people — he wouldn't have distributed it on purpose, especially in a negative way or in a way that could harm business relations. Just because this person is honest with his partners and never lets them down. I'll note that according to the American press, Millian has been under the FBI's suspicion since 2011 as a possible Russian spy. But the Bureau ran a check and obviously didn't find anything because Millian remains free. This, however, did't prevent one journalist after another from asking Sergei the same question. - Have you had any connections with the Russian secret services? - Absolutely not. - But you know that people say so, don’t you? - Of course. I am not related. - Do you talk to them? - No. - Do special services ask you questions? - No. - But you have friends amongst Russian politicians. And do they ask you what's happening in America? - Yes. He gave this interview in July 2016. During that conversation, Sergei had the imprudence to even say this: "I'm one of those very few people who have insider information of Kremlin's policy, who have the ability to understand the Russian mentality. I believe that my knowledge, the insider information, my connections, and what I have already done, making trade deals with Russians, will help me bring significant benefits for the American administration, making its relationship with Russia successful". During that conversation, Millian, evidently wishing to add himself some authority, said that he had direct access to the Russian President, and ended the conversation stating that when he starts advising the US administration on Russia, the world will definitely avoid the prospects of a nuclear winter. It seems to be obvious he's either joking or just showing off. Anyway, The Wall Street Journal decided to quote him. Apparently, Millian's authority is big enough to make any news more credible. There's probably no other headliner with so much presence in the American media. They decided to use... By the way, the other big and mid-sized organizations were closed. Ours was the only one that kept afloat. I believe that they didn't find a better target than I and my organization. Nobody's proved that Sergey Millian ever possessed such information or that he passed it to anyone. But it seems that the US media is satisfied with the fact that he may have known something. They use it as a basis for a new sensation.
