Bombing a Mosque: USA Admitted Fault, Claimed Error

According to various estimates, 40-75 civilians died due to an airstrike by the US Air Force in Aleppo, Syria. American defense officials are checking up on this information. They only partly admit it was their fault. They claim that the original target was close to the mosque. But the local media and eyewitnesses confirm, that the missile hit the main building directly. Here are the details by our special correspondent from Syria, Aleksey Baranov. The impact with the mosque occurred right during a prayer service. Right on this site, where the airstrike hit the building, 40 people died instantly. It's now clear, that out of over 100 injured, another 35 worshipers have now died. After this footage came out, showing images of an aerial bomb fragment with Latin markings on it, they couldn't deny what happened. AFCENT made an announcement in regard to its mistake, which has cost so many lives. The American pilots, who were following orders issued by their commanders, were, of course, targeting the militants. Supposedly, they were having a meeting only 15 meters away from the mosque. It's still unclear why the decision to initiate the airstrike was made, given that there were hundreds of civilians in close proximity. A rare occurrence, it is important to note that the American military has admitted to their wrongdoing. They promise to thoroughly investigate the issue. The world will never know, whether somebody will be prosecuted for this crime. In the US, investigations of such matters are classified. Now we can only hope, that the US armed forces, and the American-led coalition will try to avoid such tragic incidents from now on.
